As part of CILTA’s 75th celebration program – CILTA North Queensland hosted a successful T&L in the Tropics Conference, which was held in Townsville on 3rd June 2010.
The event was attended by 130 people and drew attendees from across North Queensland. It was supported by many in the industry and especially many local industry companies.  Attendees were addressed by some very high quality and influential speakers from the industry such as QLD Main Roads minister and Chairman of the Port of Townsville. The event also received some great media coverage on 7 News and local and national print.

The program included
•    Half day conference
•    Site tour of the Army’s major barracks (largest in Australia)
•    Prot tour aboard the newest tourist cat

The event was so successful that there was strong support to run a similar event next year and focus on the debate on infrastructure, regulation and people issues for Northern Australia. Watch this space...
