Welcome to the home of the ACT and Southern NSW Section of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport.
The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport is an international organisation. We have a network of National Councils and Sections that span the globe.
The ACT and Southern NSW Section differs from other Sections in Australia as it's adminstration office is located in the national capital - Canberra. A key feature of which is that it houses the national Parliament and federal agencies and thus has a strong orientation toward national government issues.

Being in land from major cities and ports, it also does not have large scale operators based in the region. Its members therefore tend to be professionals in Government agencies, academics and professional consultants.
The Section was the generator of the bi-annual Safeskies Conference which attracts international speakers and delegates and a close relationship continues between the two bodies.

As the only dedicated transport association in the area, the Section’s activities tend to focus on the conduct of public forums to increase public awareness of transport issues; to foster greater understanding between related organizations in the region; and to provide opportunities for an exchange of views between members.
