MENTORING PROGRAM
Queensland Section of CILTA launched their CILTA – Accelerate Pilot Mentoring Program at the QLD Annual Awards.
CILTA and Accelerate identified the need for an informal mentoring program to be established with the aim to close the gap between CILTA and Accelerate individuals within the industry and build a close interpersonal relationships between CILTA - experienced managers – and the upcoming young professionals in Accelerate.
The program is designed to provide personal and professional development and career guidance from mentors to mentees.
Nine mentors and nine mentees were selected and matched based on their personal and professional profiles and their goals & expectations of the program.
Each were acknowledged at the QLD Annual Awards dinner and will now commence the program, going about agreeing in what capacity and frequency they will meet, setting joint milestones, goals and expectations.

A mid evaluation is planned to be held in October and a graduation of this first class in December 2009 and it is hoped that the program is rolled out again in early 2010 and nationally towards the end of 2010.
